Read, do-it-yourself, bake!

Katja Stock (better known from “Den store Bagedyst” (The Great Danish Bake Off)) is working on her own interpretation of Tushie Cakes, as pictured on page 14 in my children’s book Tiny Heinie who wanted to be kick-ass like his dad.

I will be taking the cakes as a gift when I visit Strandbakkehuset children’s and young people’s hospice, in Djursland, in October.

Katja Stock’s first version of a Tushie Cakes is a yummy cookie with chocolate ganache in the middle and pants that are dipped in milk chocolate. I think it’s right on the nose, and couldn’t help but make a bead version, with wool ganache in the middle ...

But Katja is far from finished experimenting.
- My children tell me you can only eat one Tushie Cakes because the chocolate is a little rich. And as the cake is for kids, it can’t be too heavy.

So Katja is hopping in the cake ring again. While I wait anxiously and look forward to tasting her next interpretation ... 🙂
